how to mount bookcase to wall?

I have bookcase that i want to mount to a wall. the case is smaller than the stud width. how do i mount this bookcase to a wall.

    I find it difficult to believe that there are no studs to anchor to unless your bookcase is less than 18" in width. Your solution is to use hollow wall mounts. You can get them from your local hardware store. Good luck.

    Use a thin bracket with holes in it to run screws threw. If possible mount to center where stud in wall is.

    Studs are 2 inches by 4 inches usally 16 inches apart. I don’t image your bookcase is smaller then the stud. If you are trying to mount your bookcase to a wall between studs thats a different situation. It depends on what type of wall your mounting to. If it’s drywall they make special drywall screws you can buy at any hardware store.
    * it may be in your best interest to explain your situation to someone at a place like "home depot". You want to be sure your bookcase doesn’t come crashing down in the middle of the night.*
