My dad bought this cheesy, desk and I put it together months ago. I put it together wrong, and now it’s as flimsy as can be. I’m wondering what I need to build my own computer desk. What will I need? Thanks, your answers are always appreciated!

I’m looking for a Christmas present for my dad, I want to get him a gift certificate, in order for him to buy the tools he needs for his woodworking shop. He is extremely gifted at making anything out of wood and usually will only buy the best. I have no idea which brandname is the best or which store or catalog would be the best. Please help if you can. Christmas is coming very soon.
He has built a kitchen table out of wormy chestnut, a beutiful 4 poster bed, a bassinette for his grandson, a tool chest, and a huge quilt chest. He also built new cabinets for a friend of his. Thanks for all the help so far.
Okay so here’s the thing my dad and I are building a desk/bookcase to go in my room but before it goes in I want to stain it with an oak stainer I was also hoping to paint my room. But in september I was planning on getting a Parakeet to keep in my room so I just need to know how long I should wait before it’s completely safe to put the little bugger in my room. Thank You : )
my dad built my family a new house a few years ago but i still haven’t really decorated my room. right now i have a dark finish bookcase and desk. my entertainment center is light wood but im planning on staining it dark cherry like the rest. i don’t have a bed frame or anything really. and i need storage ideas.
im fourteen but i don’t really like ‘teen’ bedding. i would rather have something that you would see in an old victorian magazine or movie. any ideas on where i could go??
I don’t need anything fancy, just a very simple and basic rectangular bookcase. I’d prefer if it was a 60×32x12 with maybe three or four shelves (stationary or removable). I made a fire truck in wood-shop, and my dad finally agreed to let me make a bookcase with him, so nothing too difficult or expensive, please.
Thanks in advance! ^.^
